U.S. Army Troops To Serve As U.S. Policemen? By Chuck Baldwin

Posted by soldierservant on October 6, 2008

This may be a necessary step to Bush’s canceling the elections?

This column is archived at

According to the Army Times (dated Tuesday, September 30, 2008), “Beginning
Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT [Brigade Combat Team] will be under the
day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of
Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or
manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.”

The article continued by saying, “But this new mission marks the first time
an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint
command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal
homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil

“After 1st BCT finishes its dwell-time mission, expectations are that
another, as yet unnamed, active-duty brigade will take over and that the
mission will be a permanent one.”

The Times column also reported that the Army brigade “may be called upon to
help with civil unrest and crowd control . . .” It seems that the Army’s new
domestic duties also include “traffic control” as well as subduing “unruly
or dangerous individuals.”

The brigade will be known for the next year as a Consequence Management
Response Force, or CCMRF (pronounced “sea-smurf”).

I am assuming that the planners and promoters of this newfound function for
the Army brigade envision the Army assisting local first responders in
dealing with natural emergencies such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and the
like. Good intentions notwithstanding, to assign domestic police duties to
the U.S. military is extremely disturbing.

To understand my concern for this new “homeland Army brigade,” it is
important that we rehearse the principles of liberty as they relate to
standing armies.

One of America’s most sacred principles has always been that the U.S.
military was never to be used for domestic law enforcement. The fear of
standing armies ran very deep in the hearts and minds of America’s founders.
The tyranny and misery inflicted upon the colonies by British troops weighed
heavily upon those who drafted our Constitution and Bill of Rights. In their
minds, the American people would never again be subjected to the heavy
weight of army boots. Furthermore, they insisted that America would have a
civilian–not military–government.

And after the fiasco of the abuse of federal troops in the South following
the War Between the States, the doctrine of Posse Comitatus was enacted into
law. The Wikipedia online encyclopedia says this about Posse Comitatus:

“The Act prohibits most members of the federal uniformed services … from
exercising nominally state law enforcement police or peace officer powers
that maintain ‘law and order’ on non-federal property. . . .

“The statute generally prohibits federal military personnel and units of the
United States National Guard under federal authority from acting in a law
enforcement capacity within the United States, except where expressly
authorized by the Constitution or Congress. . . .

“The Posse Comitatus Act and the Insurrection Act substantially limit the
powers of the federal government to use the military for law enforcement.”

The Posse Comitatus Act was passed in 1878 and was universally accepted as
being a very just–and extremely important–law of the land.

But in 2006, President George W. Bush pushed a Republican-controlled
Congress to pass the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for
Fiscal Year 2007, which included a section titled “Use of the Armed Forces
in major public emergencies.” This section provided that “The President may
employ the armed forces to restore public order in any State of the United
States the President determines….” In effect, this bill obliterated Posse

When the Democrat-controlled Congress passed the 2008 National Defense
Authorization Act, however, the restrictions of Posse Comitatus were
restored. But when President Bush signed the Act into law, he attached a
signing statement (Executive Order) indicating that the Executive Branch did
not feel bound by the changes enacted by the repeal. Translated: President
Bush wiped out Posse Comitatus by Executive Order.

Now, just a few months after expunging Posse Comitatus, President Bush has
authorized an Army brigade to be assigned the new role of dealing
exclusively with domestic law enforcement and related duties. This evokes
serious questions.

Who will give the order to send U.S. troops against American civilians, and
under what circumstances? What will the rules of engagement be? How will
“unruly” and “dangerous” be defined? How will soldiers be asked to deal with
“crowd” or “traffic” control? And perhaps the biggest question is, Once we
begin to go down this road, where will it lead?

For several years, the federal government has been accumulating to itself
more and more authority that was historically understood to reside within
the states and local communities. More and more, our police departments have
taken on the image and tactics of the armed forces. And to a greater and
greater degree, the rights and liberties of the American people are being
sacrificed on the altar of “national security.” It seems to me that to now
ascribe law enforcement duties to the U.S. Army only serves to augment the
argument that America is fast approaching police state status.

If Hurricane Katrina is the template that our federal government is using as
a model for future events, Heaven help us! Do readers remember how National
Guard troops were used to confiscate the personal firearms of isolated and
vulnerable civilians shortly after that hurricane devastated the New Orleans
area? Do you remember how representatives of the federal government were
calling upon pastors and ministers to act as spokesmen for gun confiscation?
Is this what the new Army brigade is preparing for? And do President Bush
and his military planners envision an even broader role for military troops
on American soil?

Add to the above rumors of thousands of plastic caskets–along with
thousands of portable prison cells–being shipped and stored across the
country, and one is left to ask, Exactly what is it that our federal
government is planning?

I think there is an even bigger question, What exactly will members of our
armed forces do if and when they are commanded to seize Americans’ firearms,
arrest them at gun point, or even fire upon them? How many soldiers and
Marines love liberty and constitutional government enough to resist such
orders, should they be given? And how many officers would resist issuing
such orders?

Remember, it is the job of the armed forces to kill people and blow up
things, not to do police work. Then again, Presidential administrations from
both major parties have been using the U.S. military as U.N. “peacekeepers”
for decades now. So, was all of this preparation for what is yet to take
place in the United States?

God forbid that any of the above should actually take place in our beloved
land, but I believe it would be naïve to not see that the actions and
attitudes of the federal government over the past several years do nothing
to assuage such fears.

Even Iraq Wants A Timeline For Us To Get Out Of Their Country!

Posted by soldierservant on August 24, 2008

Well, according to this, Iraq itself wants a timeline for our troops to
pull out. I also heard that there is a plan for us to pull out soon.
Well, I guess McCain and all the warmongering neocons may be out of
luck. They wouldn’t know what to do with their pathetic lives without
war, which is why they’d probably try to start another one. I have also
heard that Iraq has a surplus of $79 billion, which none of it will
repay us. This war seems like a deliberate tactic to break this country.

Bush publicly admits War on Terror A TOTAL FAILURE!

Posted by soldierservant on August 21, 2008

Wow, I can’t believe what I have been hearing lately. Bush is admitting
failure in this war. What excuse do these neocon warmongers have now?
They seem to have less humility than Bush. I still hear these hypocrites
go on to blame democrats for everything when republicans have ever been
a part of it. Well, it seems my prayers are coming true about all the
false being exposed for what they are. What will all these foolish
preachers do now when all their idols make fools out of them? Do they
continue to support Bush now in his admittance of failure, or do they
support his failed policies of the past? This proves what liars the
military are when they say they are doing good over there. The troops
died for nothing but they didn’t seem to mind. They had been warned with
the likes of Pat Tillman who spoke out about the corruption of this war
way back but would not listen. I bet even with this the neocon morons
still will not learn anything and support McCain, who says he will
continue this failed war on forever. I can see how God has used Bush to
expose the wicked fools for who they are. Clinton was the same way. It
was poetic justice. The rebellious people glorify these leaders and God
left them to their own devices and said “have it your way.” The
republicans bragged that they would do much better, and now look at
them. Their very own idol has admitted failure. You can bet I will not
let this rest and will remind the fools for who they are. We can
constantly remind them that we told them so. Look at all that is going
on now. Like this situation about contaminated tomatoes, all because of
Bush’s policies on illegals. All this globalism and free trade is
poisoning us, whether it is from unclean illegal mexicans who handle
food with fecal matter, or China poisoning us with lead. All of this is
good coming from blowhards like Rush, which because of his evident
arrogance and greed makes it obvious where he will end up (without
repenting). Neocons are all for oppressing the poor. That is why they
have no problem with slave labor, whether it is illegals are buying
goods from oppressed chinese which furthers it. It is also why they are
against raising the minimum wage, which proves exactly the oppressors
that they are. These neocons need to read about Jesus’ parable of the
rich man and Lazarus to see where rich oppressors end up. Those without
mercy or compassion will receive none.

Bush Admitted Bin Laden’s Help Ensured Election Win???

Posted by soldierservant on August 21, 2008

This proves that Bin Laden was only a puppet to propagate this false war
and the simpletons ate it all up. If the american people remain this
stupid and gullible then we have no hope. It is no wonder why the bible
condemns fleshly wars (2Cor.10:3-4) because it is evil men who are in
charge of them. It seems like Bush and the rest of our government are
the real terrorists. Just because the dems point this out makes them no
better because they are a part of this too. They definitely war on the
unborn as well as the neocons do.

Fake War On Terror: The CIA Gave Us Al Qaeda!

Posted by soldierservant on August 21, 2008

This goes deep into this subject. This says Al Qeada is a CIA invention.
This proves how satanic this administration and our government is. So
many lies from their father the devil. How can those who claim to be
christian think they will not be punished for their love of these lies?
Everyone in their heart knows the truth because it is evident. There are
just so many who despise the truth among the babylonian churches.

Open Borders Prove “War On Terror” Is A Superficial LIE by Chuck Baldwin

Posted by soldierservant on May 28, 2008

This is ever so true. He points out that there is no real difference between McCain and Obama. That is because George Soros funds them both (but not Hillary). We know there is no difference between the parties
because there are republicans supporting Obama. It seems that the tactics of neocons like Rush are backfiring when he tried to divide the democrats in order for McCain to get it, when the republicans will end
up the most divided of them all. They are reaping what they sow. What Chuck said is true about WW2 being the last real war. Even at that, those world wars were inspired by the enemy because those wars are
Satan’s plan to bring about the antichrist. But besides that, Chuck is saying that every war since then has been for the sake of the UN.
Megadeth got it right by calling them the UNITED ABOMINATIONS. I seen a horror movie called UNCLE SAM that was right on the mark of what Chuck is saying here. There was a war veteran in that movie that was saying
ever since WW2 we don’t know what we are really fighting for. The villain of the story, of course, is a psychotic warmonger. It is so amazing how blind the church is. They are on the same side as satanic bands such as SLAYER, who always promote war and violence through their lyrics. You need to really bring this out that most of the apostate church is on Satan’s side. I realize you probably know nothing about this, but I do. I use to be one of SLAYERS biggest fans. They are satanic neocons. This exposes lying warmongers for what they are. The fruits speak for themselves. There are sites promoting these bands as republican, even AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell.” Well that speaks for itself. The republican way is the highway to hell. There are only very few bands
that speak the truth like Megadeth. It is hard to tell but I don’t think McCain will stand much of a chance because whoever he picks for VP will end up isolating one group or other.

The American people were led to believe that America’s fine men and women in uniform were sent halfway around the world to Iraq and Afghanistan to fight a “war on terror.” Of course, everyone now knows that Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with the attacks on September 11, 2001. I am sure that most everyone also remembers that the vast majority of the terrorists who participated in those attacks were from Saudi Arabia, not Iraq. Yet, Saudi leaders continue to enjoy the coziest of relationships–and, dare I say, friendships–with President George W. Bush.

Does anyone besides me remember when Bush said that countries had to decide whether they would be friends with either terrorists or the United States, but that they could not be friends with both? Well, Saudi Arabia has probably financed, supported, and befriended more terrorists in the Middle East than any other nation in the world (except perhaps Red China), yet they continue to be “friends” with the United States.

Another glaring inconsistency regarding the “war on terror” is the fact that for some seven years since the 9/11 attacks, our nation’s borders and ports are as open and porous as ever. These open borders make the argument that “we are fighting them over there, so we won’t have to fight them over here” look absolutely disingenuous–even laughable.

If foreign terrorists want to bring the fight to America’s streets again, they still have plenty of opportunity to do so. In fact, we have no idea how many potential terrorists have already slipped across our borders and are right now living among us. Furthermore, we have no idea how many potential terrorists continue to pour through these wide open sieves that we call borders.

How can this administration look the American people in the eye with a straight face and claim that it is fighting a “war on terror,” while it does almost nothing to secure our borders and ports? As Marcellus said in Shakespeare’s Act 1 of Hamlet, “Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.” Amen. Something is also rotten in Washington, D.C.

Besides, why should al Qaeda attack us now? The U.S. occupation of Iraq is the best recruiting tool they ever had. Do the American people not realize (I think most of them actually do) that, thanks to our protracted occupation of Iraq, al Qaeda might actually be stronger now than it was when we invaded that country in 2003.

If the Bush administration was serious about fighting a war on terror, it would absolutely, resolutely, and immediately seal our borders and ports. It is nothing short of lunacy to send our National Guard forces to Iraq for the purpose of protecting that country’s borders, while leaving America’s borders wide open!

Not only does the Bush administration not secure our borders and ports, it wants to provide a “path to citizenship” for illegal aliens. It allows tax dollars to be used to pay for illegal aliens’ education, social services, and medical care. It offers birthright citizenship for illegal aliens. And it prosecutes and imprisons Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean for shooting (but not seriously enough to prevent his escape back into Mexico) a known illegal alien and drug trafficker.

No wonder the flood of illegal aliens has skyrocketed since George W. Bush became President of the United States.

And is there anyone who does not understand that a John McCain Presidency will be more of the McSame? A McCain White House promises a 100-year occupation of Iraq along with continued open borders and ports. Plus, McCain will also push forward with his plans to grant amnesty to illegal aliens.

In addition, when it comes to illegal immigration, amnesty, etc., there will be no relief from an Obama White House. Both Barack Obama and John McCain are pro-open borders, pro-amnesty twins.

Instead of fighting a “war on terror,” the Bush administration (and numerous administrations before it) is allowing our troops to be used as the personal militia of the United Nations and for the commercial benefit of international corporations.

Remember, soon after our troops invaded Iraq, President Bush explicitly reported that the reason for the invasion was to defend “the credibility of the United Nations.” But this has been the pattern of White House behavior ever since the U.N. was created back in 1945. Presidents from both parties have repeatedly injected U.S. troops into copious conflicts and wars, all for the purpose of enforcing and augmenting the policies of the United Nations.

In fact, the last constitutional conflict that the U.S. military fought was World War II. Virtually every war since has been a U.N. manufactured and manipulated conflict. The war in Iraq is no different.

I ask the reader, If you were President, and you sincerely believed that you were fighting a war on terror, and that you had to take the drastic action of sending other men’s sons and daughters to fight and die in order to wage this war (not to mention the prospect of potentially bankrupting the country to fight it), would you be so careless or indifferent as to not close the borders to the threat of terrorists who might actually decide to attack us? I doubt that there is a reader who would not agree that anyone who took such a task seriously would–at the very minimum–do this.

So, I repeat: the fact that George W. Bush refuses to seal our borders and ports proves that whatever else he thinks he is accomplishing in Iraq, he is disingenuous when he proclaims that he is fighting a “war on terror.” (Again, the country that had the closest connections to the 9/11 terrorists was Saudi Arabia, not Iraq. If fighting the terrorists was the focus, why did Bush not attack Saudi Arabia?)

And that means John McCain is disingenuous when he says he wants U.S. troops to stay in Iraq for 100 years so “we won’t have to fight the terrorists over here” while, at the same time, promoting amnesty for illegal aliens (which does nothing but promote even more illegal immigration).

No, my friends. The real war is not a “war on terror.” The real war is a war against constitutional government, personal liberty, and national sovereignty. It is a war against the fundamental principles of America’s Founding Fathers, that America should be a friend and trader with all, but engaged in entangling alliances with none. It is a war against the Bill of Rights. It is a war against the Spirit of ’76, the spirit that says America is a free and independent country, subservient to no international entity or interest. It is a war against the principle that would put America first. It is a war against the very heart and soul of everything this country has stood for ever since our patriot forebears stood on Lexington Green and Concord Bridge. And this war is not being waged from Baghdad or Tehran. It is being waged from Washington, D.C.

Hypocrite George W. Bush Negotiates With And Funds Terrorists (Hamas!)

Posted by soldierservant on May 20, 2008

This article proves the hypocrisy of Bush and his doctrine of not
negotiating with terrorists, which he himself is he biggest violater of.
He not only negotiates to the palestinian terrorists, he funds them,
$150 million. Why can’t anyone catch on to such obvious lies? If Bush
and his administration are such zionists then why are they funding their
enemies? None of the lying, anti-semitic crackpots can answer that. Both
sides are so full of lies. Both the right and the left will not expose
the true corruption because they both are all a part of it. The left
doesn’t attack Bush for his pro-illegal policies or his pro-homosexual
policies, because they are in agreement. Both sides are against Israel
and so none of them present a true arguement. That is why this partisan
politics between the left and the right is such a scam and a joke. They
are all about nothing. It is just a charade to divert people from the
truth, much like how ancient Rome did. It is no coincident that our
government is pattern after Rome, and like them we are headed for the
same downfall as them. That is if everyone buys into their lying

Ron Paul: The Iraqis Are Worse Off
